Please do not let the breed standard hair cuts and styles scare you away or lead you to think that this is a delicate, overly fancy breed. You can cut your dogs hair any way you please. Standard Poodles are an amazing breed, durable, athletic and striking. Initially bred to hunt. These dogs hike, swim, hunt, run, and train with the best of the athletic breeds! AND, they are also happy to hang out in your home, watch movies and adore you. Not many breeds can be both an athlete and a well behaved indoor dog that doesn’t use their excess energy in a negative way (ex: eating your couch).
